The town of Westlock Alberta flies their municipal flag, the province of Alberta and Canada.
Westlock came to be when originally surveyed in 1912. The land for the town site was purchased from William Westgate and William Lockhart. This gave way to the name Westlock. The Village of Westlock was incorporated on March 13, 1916 and just over 30 years later Westlock became a town.
