The disk is in good condition, firmly mounted however, the lack of drainage maintenance (clearing) has created a micro ecosystem of plant growth from the accumulated sediments in the run off. Discover of this marker will require probing and clearing of the top debris or a metal detector.
The witness post is no longer present.
The orange pain markings referred to in 2003 are now non-existent.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1990 TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 17 BUSINESS (KINGS HIGHWAY) AND LAKE ARROWHEAD ROAD (S-26-469) IN CHESTNUT HILL, GO NORTHEAST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 17 FOR 1.7 KM (1.1 MI) TO HILTON ROAD ON THE RIGHT. TURN RIGHT AND GO SOUTHEAST ON HILTON ROAD FOR 1.1 KM (0.7 MI) TO A CROSSROAD. CONTINUE AHEAD ON HILTON ROAD, WINDING SOUTHEAST AND THEN SOUTHERLY FOR 1.0 KM (0.6 MI) TO A FORK, KEEP LEFT FOR ABOUT 22.9 M (75.1 FT) TO A 4-WAY STOP SIGN, CONTINUE AHEAD FOR 0.16 KM (0.10 MI) TO A DEAD END AND HILTON PARKING LOT ON THE LEFT. TURN LEFT INTO PARKING LOT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF HOTEL AND GO 0.2 KM (0.1 MI) TO THE STATION SET IN THE SIDEWALK THATS BETWEEEN THE HILTON HOTEL AND THE RADISSON RESORT. THE STATION IS LOCATED 20.3 M (66.6 FT) NORTHWEST FROM THE SOUTHWEST END OF CONCRETE CURB AT THE BEACH, 4.6 KM (2.9 MI) EAST FROM THE NORTHEAST RAIL OF WOODEN STEPS, 3.1 M (10.2 FT) SOUTH FROM THE NORTHEAST CURB OF THE WALKWAY AND 0.6 M (2.0 FT) WEST-SOUTHWEST FROM A WITNESS POST.
