The Raven Brood Trout Station is located about 1 km west of Hwy 22, about 3 km south of the junction of Hwys 22 and 54, just east of Caroline, Alberta. The location was chosen because of the large spring located on the property.

The present building and facilities were constructed in the mid 1970s. Prior to that the station had consisted of a number of earthen ponds through which spring water flowed.
Location:
The Rave Brood Trout Station is one of three important hatcheries operated by Alberta Sustainable Resource Development. The outhouses keep the technicians from having to clean up the kinds of mess that was found in the ladies outhouse on a day to day basis. :O
