The town of Samut Songkhram lies 70kms or so west of Bangkok, capital of the province of the same name, a quiet place of rice farms and light industry. Along the main highway of the province, which runs through the town centre, is a Rotary clock.

The clock stands on a road divider. It is large, stands out well, and has the virtue of displaying the correct time. Rather functional in design, but eye-catching, in a rather geometric fashion. There is one clock facing in each direction. The Thai text on the tower, so I am told, reads the same as the English text: "100 years of Rotary International", but no year of dedication.
