THE STATION IS LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF PHOENIX, TOWNSHIP 04 NORTH, RANGE 03 EAST, SECTION 21
TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF INTERSTATE 17 AND DEER VALLEY ROAD (EXIT 217B) , DRIVE EAST ON DEER VALLEY ROAD 3.6 MI (5.8 KM) TO AN UNMARKED DIRT ROAD ON THE RIGHT (SOUTH) SIDE OF DEER VALLEY ROAD, THENCE TURN RIGHT (SOUTH) AND DRIVE FOR 0.1 MI (0.2 KM) UNDER OVERHEAD POWER LINES TO A UNMARKED DIRT ROAD TRAVELING EAST WEST, THENCE TURN RIGHT (WEST) ONTO DIRT ROAD AND DRIVE A SHORT DISTANCE TO A FORK IN THE ROAD, THENCE VEER LEFT (SOUTH) AND DRIVE 600 FT OR AS FAR AS YOUR VEHICLE WILL SAFETY TRAVEL AND PARK, THENCE HIKE TO THE TOP OF THE HILL TO THE RIGHT (WEST) AND TO THE STATION AS DESCRIBED

From the junction of Interstate 17 and Deer Valley Road (exit 217b), drive east on Deer Valley road 3.6 mi (5.8 km) to 16th St. Turn right (south) and drive 1/4 mile to dead end and park. Pack southwest to saddle east of the station, then pack west to the top of the hill and the station.
