USDA FS HV-6, Oregon - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

The former Forest Service Bend Pine Nursery originally covered more than 300 acres. Most of that land has passed into the ownership of the Bend Parks and Recreation District while the Forest Service retained approximately 25 acres around the former Nursery buildings. The survey cap is set on a buried pipe near the southwest corner of the original nursery area, on undeveloped land that will become the future Pine Tree Park. The point was set by the Forest Service in 1991 and marked HV-6. The point was part of a control survey for a photogrametric mapping project for the nursery.
