The former Forest Service Bend Pine Nursery originally covered more than 300 acres. Most of that land has passed into the ownership of the Bend Parks and Recreation District while the Forest Service retained approximately 25 acres around the former Nursery buildings. The survey cap is set on a buried pipe along the east side of the 25 acres retained by the Forest Service. The cap was marked BPN AP6 and was set in 2004 by PLS 2396 for the Forest Service.
