This concrete marker is one of the original 3,000 markers that the Boy Scouts erected in 1928. There are only a handful of these original ones left and Woodbine is fortunate to have this historical treasure. It is located along the brick highway road that runs through town, the longest stretch of original brick Lincoln Highway in the state. The brick was laid for this portion of the transcontinental US Hwy. 30 in 1921, and many of the impressive homes along the street date back to before the time. Historical sites such as the Carnegie Library and the Merry Brook School Museum are places to visit along the way.

The marker can be found in front of the Merry Brook School on the south edge of town.
