The White-Baucum House was built 1869-1870 in an Italianate. It was built for Arkansas Secretary of State Robert J.T. White. It later served as a home who bought it in the mid-1920's George F. Baucum, a cotton broker, wholesale grocery businessman, president of the Bank of Little Rock and one of the founders of the Board of Trade in Little Rock. It served as a private home until 1957. Since then it has served a variety business purposes include an interior design studio, a couple restaurants, a night club and an engineering firm. Now it is vacant and is deteriorating due to a lack of maintenance.
