Lakeside Golf Course opened for play in 1966 and has been a hit ever since. Stretching to over 6,000 yards, our Par 71.

This is the first place I ever played when I was young. I got golf clubs for Christmas one year and my parents pulled me out of Jr. High to go golf. At the time, the course was only 9 holes. On the 4th hole, my mother's knee cap popped off while teeing off. She wanted me to finish with my Dad and had us carry her over to a shaded area under a big tree where she sat and waited for us to finish. We then backed the station wagon up to the tree and helped her in the car to visit the hospital.
