Dupree is a small town located in Ziebach County, South Dakota, on US Highway 212. It has a population of 437 as of July 2009, a 1% increase in population from the 2000 census. The 2010 census shows Dupree with a population of 525.
The area was settled by German, Norwegian, Irish, English, and Danish immigrants and the town was incorporated in 1911.
Dupree is the county seat of Ziebach County.
