This monument is the latest and greatest of Revolutionary War monuments installed here at Valley Forge. On August 24, 1997, this monument was dedicated as a consequence of the PA Masons completely funding structural repairs for the national arch.

The entire general area around the monument and leading up to the arch is Mason Central, having been refurbished and repaired by Masons, are symbols are everywhere. The granite stone is pretty cool, having a variety of masonic symbols and signs on the both edges. The monument stands north northeast of the national arch, sometimes in its mid day shadow, depending on the time of year. The monument is about six feet high, perhaps a total of 10 with its pedestal. The whole thing is finely polished with the following inscription:
In remembrance of the Continental Army
led by George Washington,
a member of the Masonic Fraternity,
and in honor of the many Freemasons
who were part of the encampment at this site,
the Freemasons of Pennsylvania place this
monument so that future generations will know
that freedom was as important in 1997

The National Memorial Arch underwent major structural repairs during 1996 – 1997. The project was funded entirely by the Freemasons of Pennsylvania.
