This colorful mural is found in a small walking tunnel in Chris Larsen Park. It is a collage painted by some of those involved in the annual Art Splash event.
Each year the Sioux City Art Center sponsors an event called “Art Splash” that takes place on Labor Day weekend at Chris Larsen Park. Musical entertainment is held at the Anderson Pavilion, and everyone is encouraged to participate in the art workshops, sample festival foods, and browse the displays of paintings, ceramics, jewelry, photography, and a multitude of other creative works. Kids of all ages can explore their creativity and imaginations as they take part in fun of creating their own works of art.
