This caboose is on a small section of track in center of Kevil, KY. The caboose is a green Paducah & Louisville car #9653. It is an "Extended Vision" or "Wide Vision" caboose, with sides of the cupola project beyond the side of the carbody. The expanded cupola allowed the crew to see past the top of the taller cars and also increased the roominess of the cupola area.
The surrounding park includes a pavillion and several benches for sitting. This part of Kevil is "off-the-beaten-tract" of U.S. 60 that runs through Kevil just a 1/2 mile way. Many of the buisnesses and structures have disapeared in this part of town.
