Wynetka Ponds Bark Park in Littleton is an extremely popular dog park. It is maintained by the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District. There are two sides, one side at a time is closed down to give the grounds a rest from all the dog and people activity. It seems that they switch sides about once a month. People come to this dog park from as far away as the Washington Park area, the area near Mile High Stadium and from the west of the park near Ken Caryl Ranch. It is well maintained by South Suburban, with their rangers always making certain the doggie bag containers are full, the locks on the gates are cared for and just general upkeep. The fencing is about 4 feet high, but I have never seen a dog try to jump it. If you have a dog that was tempted to do this, this park may not be for you as on the south side W. Bowels Ave. is a rather busy Ave.

In the warmer months (seems as though between May and October), there are drinking fountains available. Three levels--one down low for the pooches, one that looks at a height for children, and the top one probably for adults. Although, I would not recommend these fountains be used by humans as the very tall dogs have been known to take a lick out of the highest fountain.
The visitors take good care picking up after their dogs for the most part. They also make sure the dogs are being social. Some dogs are a little more outgoing while others are a bit shy, but everyone seems to get along well.

In addition to the fenced in areas, there is a very nice walking path to walk you dog on leash and visit the ponds that this dog park is named after.
