To reach the mark from the end of Clark Road in El Sobrante, hike south up the Clark-Boas Trail for about 1.1 km (0.7 miles) to a trail junction. Turn left and go southeast up the San Pablo Ridge Trail for about 1.0 km (0.6 miles) to the mark on the right.

The station mark is a East Bay Municipal Utility District disk, stamped "91", set in concrete in the center of a metal pipe protruding above the ground. It is next to a witness post and about 154 meters (505 feet) west-northwest of NGS survey marker HT2858.

Reference mark number 1 is a East Bay Municipal Utility District disk, stamped "1949 RM-1 91", set in a metal pipe protruding above the ground. It is about 9 meters (30 feet) on a geodetic azimuth of about 180 degrees from the station mark and about 1 meter (4 feet) lower than the station mark.

Reference mark number 2 is a East Bay Municipal Utility District disk, stamped "1949 RM-2 91", set in a metal pipe protruding above the ground. It is about 8 meters (26 feet) on a geodetic azimuth of about 227 degrees from the station mark and about 1 meter (4 feet) lower than the station mark.
