This benchmark is located along U.S. Hwy. 20, about 2 miles southeast of the Deschutes/Lake county line. The cap is located about 120 feet northeast of the highway centerline. The cap was cemented into a rock outcrop by the Oregon Highway Department in 1929 and was marked M90.

OF THE JUNCTION OF THE ROLYAT ROAD AND CENTRAL OREGON HWY., IN LARGE OUTCROP OF ROCK AT EDGE OF CLIFF, 40 YARDS NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF CENTRAL OREGON HWY. ABOUT 7.9 MILES SOUTHEAST ALONG THE CENTRAL OREGON HWY. FROM THE SERVICE STATION AT HAMPTON.
