[EN] Legend about origin of the Coat of Arms
In the autumn of each year, carts with servants were sent about the villages to collect taxes in kind. Occasionally phoney collectors arose, which is why a monk who had a crosier rode with them. According to legend, the cart full of fragrant naturals attracted a bear. The servants fled in front of it, the bear climbed on top of the cart but the horses started to run and the bear could not jump down. In order to keep from falling, the bear had to grab the crosier. He rode all the way to Jablonské Square holding the cane and there he managed to jump off and flee to the place where the church now stands. The inhabitants of Jablonne managed to stop the runaway horses and the authorities allowed them to include a bear with a crosier in their emblem.
