Away from the up market beaches on the resort and tourist island of Phuket is 'old' Phuket Town, and in the centre (or thereabouts) of this town is a fountain situated on a traffic roundabout. The fountain is 7-8m in diameter, has a central set of water jets, which are then surrounded by water jets emerging from what look to be (in my eyes) fire fighter hoses, or possibly farm implements of some description. All with lots of flowers.
The road around the fountain is always busy, however, I managed to get across for a closer look. There is a faded plaque, which names the roundabout 'Suriyadet Circle', and with a Rotary badge, thus I am assuming the fountain was at least partially funded by the local Rotary group.
