USGS 81 FMK, Oregon - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This elevation mark is located at the Vale Project Interpretive Site on U.S. Hwy. 95 about 12.5 miles southwest of Jordan Valley, Oregon. The cap is located about 100 feet south of the highway centerline, north of the interpretive site access road, and about 45 feet east of ZIP ET (PID NW0312). The cap was on a steel rod driven to refusal by the U.S. Geological Survey in 1968 and was marked 81 FMK. The mark also serves as an reference mark for ZIP ET.
