A beautiful memorial to those members of the Calexico community that have served to defend our freedom during WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam.

The design features a curved memorial wall surrounded by a circle adorned with plaques with local veterans' names.

To the rear is a bronze statue of an "In-the-Field" grave marker of GI boots, gun and helmet.

Who Put it Here?: The Calexico Arts Commission, Imperial Valley College art instructor Tom Gilbertson, the memorial's designer, and dedicated volunteers

Description of Memorial:
It sits on the corner of Heber Ave and East 7th Street in Rockwood Plaza Found waymark after visiting geocache GC2MB0Y nearby.
