This attractive and intricate mural is located at one of the lesser used entrances to San Diego's Mission Trails Park.

Mission Trails Park in San Diego is a multi-species conservation area...the largest in the region. This mural is on a semi-circular wall marking the entrance at Deerfield Circle (and Mission Gorge Road). The wall has many things to discover...images of local wildlife and nature with the English and Kumeyaay Indian names, imprints that appear as fossils, a blue-tiled representation of the San Diego River which flows through the Park, etc.
Some of the signs are also in Spanish and Braille.
