This colorful star pattern spins it way across the traditional wooden storage barn just to the east of Hartley. Four colors are woven into a twisting image that is set into a deep blue background and framed with tangerine. The barn is on the north side of Hwy. 18 and faces south for easy viewing.
Your Visit:
We were heading west on Hwy. 18 after a wonderful day waymarking at the Iowa Great Lakes. Always on the lookout for barn quilts, I spotted several on this main route.
