The primary colors of this beautiful star quilt contrast brightly against the old white traditional barn. Although the quilt can be easily spotted from Hwy 18 near the 130th Avenue intersection, it cannot be viewed much closer without walking through the farm property itself; a grove of trees creates a good privacy screen. The farm is just to the north of Everly, and the barn quilt faces north.
Your Visit:
We were heading west on Hwy. 18 after a wonderful day waymarking at the Iowa Great Lakes. Always on the lookout for barn quilts, I spotted several on this main route.
