On the 26th of August 1987 a Phantom F6-J from the 74 Tiger Squadron flew into the ground on a low level training flight just above the hill line from the nearby monument.

On the 26th of August 1987 a Phantom F6-J from the 74 Tiger Squadron flew into the ground on a low level training flight just above the hill line from the nearby monument. The accident was believed to have been caused by instrument error.

Unfortunately there is little information kept about this crash even though it was only 28 years ago. If anyone with local knowledge can tell me more please post it below and i'll add to the listing
