The Sweetbay Hollow Nature Trail was donated by the Rhodes family to the city of Waveland. It was finished January 22, 2010 by students from the University of Delaware College of Engineering. It was a community service project with the Land Trust for the Mississippi Coastal Plain. It was also site of the Waveland Community Coalition's Great American Cleanup project in '09.
