This post box is in excellent condition and not in its original position. Where it's come from and how it's in such good condition considering its age I have no idea, but it looks geniuine and I would imagine how all the other boxes of this age would have originally looked when first made.
Tell us about the area the post box is situated.: On the platform at Kelvedon railway station just outside the barrier.
Condition of the box: Good/Average/Poor: Very good.
Is this post box still in use?: Monday to Friday, 1700; Saturday, 1030.
Is VR embossed on the post box or is it an "anonymous" box?: Yes
Any other embossed lettering, such as manufacturer?: Yes
Manufacturer Inscription: WT Allen & Co, London (1881-1901)
