This location is an historic district comprised of six components:
1. Powerplant Building
2. Inlet Structure
3. Overflow Spillway
4. Tailrace Canal
5. Canal
6. Control Headgate

This powerplant has not been in use for some time. While some of the components were still in use at the time it was placed on the National Register in 1993, it was no longer generating power. The canals were apparently still in use in 1993, but now the canal levee has been breached just south (above) the powerplant to provide road access to private property.
