The Old Faithful Lodge is often confused with the other two major lodgings at Old Faithful, the Old Faithful Inn and the Snow Lodge. The Old Faithful Lodge is unique in that the building contains no guest rooms, merely guest check-in and other guest services such as dining and gift shop. Its most notable guest service is the spacious Geyser Hall where you can relax indoors and get a marvelous view of the display put on by Old Faithful.
Guest rooms at the Old Faithful Lodge are contained in approximately 100 one-, two-, three-, or four-room cabins immediately adjacent to the Lodge on its north and east sides. These rooms are full accomodations with shower and toilet (Frontier Cabins) or Budget Cabins with communal showers and toilets.
When auto traffic increased in the Park and more accomodations were needed, various buildings that made up the old auto camp were combined to form the Lodge proper and additional one- to four-room cabins were built to house the guests.
