This post office is located at 115 South Railroad Street in Leadore, Lemhi County, Idaho. The post office serves a population of about 100.
The town of Leadore was established in 1910, when a railroad was constructed from Montana over Bannock Pass into the Lemhi Valley and north to Salmon, ID. Leadore became the location of the railroad’s repair shops and the junction point for a branch line to Gilmore. The railroad closed in 1939.
