In may of 1976, the Bossier Parish School Board placed a time capsule in front of the school board office in Benton, Louisiana. Local and school related items were placed in the time capsule to be open in the year 2076 to celebrate the 300th birthday of the United States. The tetrahedron shaped topper is adorned with the dates, the seal of the school board, and various patriotic passages.
