This Dairy Queen was built in 1960 near the toll booths of the Denver-Boulder Turnpike. The large parking lot tells of cheaper land values and the popularity of this location. The store itself is small, as reflects the variety and temper of the times. Most people ate their treats in the car, so an indoor eating area was not required. (
