This cemetery lies in the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of section 9-18-36. In searching the county records, I was unable to find any reference to the cemetery at the site, but I know of several burials that were made. A marker is standing for Mrs. Mary A. Miller, the wife of Rev. T. Miller. She was born July 17, 1820, and died August 2, 1886. The grave of Jennie Chesnut is marked; she was born November 25, 1846, and died April 5, 1887. My own great-grandmother, Maria (Samson, Glanville) Cullis was born in England April 23, 1802, died at Cedar Falls, Iowa, October 11, 1887, and was shipped to Coronado for burial. Since there is no marker, the exact spot of her grave is in question. Grant and Nellie Shumard have three children buried near the north and east corner, north of the gate to the cemetery. There is another small child’s grave there, but we know little of its story. The most recent burial was that of Maxie Lee Snell, born December 10, 1919, died January 1, 1920, the baby of Thomas Nelson and Eva Frances Snell.

The cemetery is fenced and taken care of by the Wichita County Cemetery District. Undoubtedly other burials were made there.
