This stone lychgate was erected in 1929-1930 to commemorate the centenary of the CMS mission.

The plaque reads:-
"THE LIGHT IN THIS LYCH-GATE"
is dedicated to the memory of
GEORGE, beloved son of H.H. & W MOUNTAIN
died 3rd April 1914
aged 9 years - 6 months
