THE 144th REGIMENT N.Y. VOL. INF. (VOLUNTEER INFANTRY) ORGANIZED IN DELAWARE COUNTY. MUSTERED INTO THE UNION ARMY SEPT. 27, 1862 AT CAMP DELAWARE LOCATED N THE FLATS BELOW DELHI.

(This is a local history marker and not part of the State Education list.) Erected by the Delaware County American Legion in 1962.
