This plaque sits along Main Street in Watertown in front of the Watertown Free Public Library. The marker reads:

"Washington passed this place on his way to Cambridge to take command of the Patriot Army.
"June • 1775 • July
"Erected by MASS SOCIETY S. A. R., July 2, 1914."
