One of several WOW located at Denver Cemetery, on the south side of Lake Thunderbird State Park, this one is for a 20 year old man who died in 1918. I was surprised at how clear the letters were on this marker.
Denver Cemetery is about a mile north of Highway 9, on 108th Ave. N.E. As you drive north on 108th, you can see the lake straight in front of you, and the the cemetery is on the right hand side.
There are two gates, both with Denver Cemetery signs. A very large directory is available at the south entrance, and there is plenty of parking in the gravel and dirt lot.
This is a well maintained cemetery, with some unique and interesting headstones on the grounds. Most of the WOW markers are on the northern half of the cemetery.
