This restored and relocated one room schoolhouse is now part of the Mercer Area Historical Society Museum and display area. It is nicely maintained and during the summer is open for tours. This area is a center for activity. Next to the school is a restored and historic train depot, an old barber shop, caboose and more. There is not much information on who Shirley Sleight was or on the school itself.
