If you can maneuver through Tin Cup Pass Road - which requires a 4-wheeled drive vehicle or quad-runner - you can park near the posted coordinates to start your hike into the Rocky Mountains.

The trailhead is at approximately 11,000 feet (3,350 m) and you will be heading into higher elevations, please prepare accordingly.

The trail is typically open during the summer months but segments may not be passable due to snow pack (we turned away about 1 mile in because the snow was still too deep for our equipment and it was mid June).

The total trail is approximately 5 miles one way and ends at the old townsite of Hancock.
