Ang Thong, in central Thailand, is a small and pleasant town and province. Outside the capital city is a large Wat, which on holidays and weekdays is filled with visitors from the area. The reason: not only is the Wat a place of deep spiritual reverence and an abundance of cultural artefacts, but it is also a fun and enjoyable Buddhist 'theme' park, with lots of activities such as water sports, displays, games and lots of food and drink. There is also the near obligatory 'Big Buddha' statue as the centre piece of the park.
