The sign depicts the parish church and one of the old houses in the village. The sign is two sided and shows the church and house differently on each side. The shape of the sign is unusual in that the perspective of the buildings is exaggerated.

There are two brass plaques on the post, however they are barely readable. The sign was apparently raised for the millennium.
