Kampong Cham town lies ~125kms to the north east of Phnom Penh, and is the most populous provinces of Cambodia. To serve the needs of this local population, as they travel to and from the provincial capital and provincial villages, is this small station.
The station itself is small. There is a building with two staffed ticket windows, and an attached, covered, waiting area, however, the area is a hive of activity. The station lies adjacent to the central market, and the paved area in front of the station is busy with street vendors and people hanging out, discussing the affairs of the day.
The buses which use this station are the somewhat roughly constructed local buses, small, open trucks with seats fitted, and mini-vans.
