This pass is one of the main entries from whats know as the Rocky Mountain Front Range (Interstate 25 Borders the eastern edge of the Rockies known as the Front Range)to the Interior Ranges. It is the highest road point in Park County just before it drops down into the South Park Region.

Yes there really is a place in Colorado called South Park (If you watch the TV show)


It has one of the most breathtaking views of the South Park Valley from the nearby Visitors Center and Scenic Overlook.
