A grade 2 listed memorial cross and bench set in a hedged area adjacent to the entrance to Moor Place.

The memorial consists of a stone crucifix on a tapered,
segmented, octagonal column. The column sits on a square plinth which carries
four bronze plaques on each face.
The inscription on the North face reads
TO THE MEMORY OF THE
MEN OF THIS PARISH
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918
[NAMES]
The inscription on the South face reads
TO THE MEN OF THIS PARISH
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
IN THE WORLD WAR 1939-1945
[NAMES]
The East and West Faces carry the names of the fallen under
the dates 1914-1918.
The plinth is mounted at the top of three shallow steps,
within a paved area surrounded on three sides by hedging.
The memorial was designed by H. Wilson, the architect was
G.L. Thurgood and the builder was W. Micklewright. The memorial was unveiled on the 2nd
January 1921 by Viscount Hampden.
In addition to the memorial there is a commemorative bench.
