Recently renovated and tidied up, this neat little memorial is set on a low plinth in a gravelled area surrounded on the north side by a low wall and evergreen plants. The village sign is also placed here.

It is adjacent to the slip road off Layer Road to Mersea Road at the south side of The Green.
