This huge park is being returned to a natural ecosystem, with recreation centered on hiking, birdwatching, etc. Near the Visitor Center is this playground with large plain swings and climbing objects modeled after birds and bugs.
There is a fee to drive into the park, or strong walkers can enjoy a hike up the shaded canyon from the free entrance. Park is closed Mondays and closes one half-hour after sunset.
