A private-public partnership brought this field into existence. Located in a plot of land that was owned by the City of Fresno, the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District, and a local developer. The park was developed as a pet project of a former city councilman wanting to create greenspace in the area. Figarden Loop Park opened in Jauary 2010 and includes among other park ameities a nicely maintained Babe Ruth League Field. The facility includes dugouts, pitchers and batting cages, a refreshment stand, press box, and a scoreboard.

The baseball field is maintained by the Bullard Babe Ruth Baseball League and is limited to use by reservations, otherwise the field is locked down and there is no access to the general public when the field is not in use for baseball. The Bullard League has sign ups in March and is open to 13-15 year olds.

One of the teams calling the field home in 2010 were the Bullard Babe Ruth 15 Year Old Allstars - 2010 District Champions - 2010 State Champions.
