This station is a USGS standard disk located in the town of Bridgewater, Litchfield County, Connecticut. It is set in the north abutment of the Southville Bridge, a four-section iron truss type that spans the Lake Lillinonah portion of the Housatonic River, carrying CT State Route 133 between the towns Brookfield and Bridgewater.

To reach the station from Bridgewater center, travel southeast on CT 133 to the boat launch on the left just before the bridge. Turn left into the boat launch and park vehicle, then walk 150 feet on CT 133 to the bridge and the station on the left. If traveling east/ northeast on CT 133 from Brookfield cross the bridge and turn into the boat launch parking lot 150 past bridge and the station on the right. The station is a USGS standard disk, stamped -2-CL&P RESET 1956 214.8- set in the top of the east side of the north abutment of the bridge, 20ft east of the centerline, and 1 ft below the road surface.

As an aside, the disk was recovered in good condition. I can't find a datasheet for this station, it does not appear on any topographic maps I have viewed, nor is it in the NGS datasheets. I found this station 40 years ago when I was a teenager and simply remember it being there. It is the second disk I have ever seen since reading about them in school.
