In 1993 the Torbay Historical Society gained the licence to occupy, restore and manage the homestead. Since then members of the Society have contributed hundreds of hours fundraising and restoring the main part of the building to its 1890 appearance.

There is also a small museum telling the story of the homestead and the restoration project, and talks are also given to groups about local history.

The homestead is available as a venue for weddings, seminars, small functions and general community use, and small functions can be catered for.
