A marker saying Sand Hill Cemetery is posted where you turn off of SR 64 to drive to the cemetery. As you approach the graveyard, the road turns to the right and where the turn is, there is a flag pole and the veterans war memorial, at the coordinates posted above. This is a non-specific war memorial dedicated to the memory of all veterans of all wars. The text on the monument reads: "In Memory of Veterans of All Wars. Presented by V. F. W. Description of Memorial: I had visited the Patoka Presbyterian Church cemetery earlier the same day that I was also in the Sand Hill cemetery and noticed both cemeteries had these non-specific war memorials. I wanted to honor the veterans and highlight the good work of VFW Post 1147 for donating both of these war memorials, so I recorded the information to make them waymarks.
